📥 Change category

Sometimes, an email might be miscategorized (for example, placed in People instead of Notifications). You can now correct it — and your preference will be remembered for future emails from the same sender.

This is the final version before our biggest update yet - multi-account support is coming soon!

Premium users can now refresh their status and unlock all premium features seamlessly. No more interruptions to your workflow - enjoy the full Talanoa experience you deserve.

📱 New screens available

Discover powerful new ways to organize your inbox with dedicated screens for Archive, Promotions, Sent, and Spam.

⚡ No more blue screen

The app is now fully signed and approved for Windows. No more scary blue screen when you want to install the app.

⚡ New contact shortcuts

We’ve added powerful shortcuts directly in your contact sidebar! Hover over any contact to reveal quick action buttons that let you:

• Mark all messages as read and archived - Clean up your inbox instantly
• Delete all messages - Remove entire conversation threads with one click
• Block contact - Stop unwanted emails from reaching your inbox

These shortcuts make managing your contacts and conversations faster and more efficient than ever.

📧 New email integration

Talanoa now supports Microsoft Outlook and Hotmail accounts! Connect your Microsoft email account and enjoy the same beautiful, organized email experience you love with seamless integration and powerful email management features.

👨‍🎨 New App Logo

We updated the app logo to perfectly match the new UI style!

📨 Improved Reply Handling

Reply messages now display previous text much more cleanly. We also fixed the “plain text” issue, so everything looks sharper and more consistent.

🚀 Speed up x300

For threads with lots of messages, we’ve massively optimized loading times — up to 300x faster.

Enjoy a much smoother experience!

🆕 New Feature: Context Menu

You can now right-click anywhere on the sidebar to quickly access useful shortcuts and perform actions in one click.

🆕 Bulk Delete

When viewing a person’s email thread, you can now delete all messages from them in one click.

Bug fix

Tasks now properly stay in their column and position after being moved.

This is where it all begins.

The very first version of Talanoa is out in the wild — a humble yet ambitious start to rethinking the email experience. No more chaos. No more clutter. Just people-first conversations, a cleaner inbox, and a new kind of calm.

✅ Core features launched:

• Google Sign-In and secure local data storage
• A beautiful interface focused on people, not threads
• Kanban-style to-do inbox to never miss a reply
• Early-stage email sync engine (still growing 💪)
• Support for Mac

This is just the beginning. Every pixel, every line of code is made with love and indie builder energy.

Thanks for being part of this journey.
